Fundraising
Its time again for the biggest Blazer fundraiser of the season...
bagging groceries at Cub the day before Thanksgiving!
November 22, 2023
Cub Foods
3550 Vicksburg Ln N
Plymouth, MN 55447
This is a wonderful, fun opportunity to serve others and earn some funds for our program!
Because this is such a hugely busy day for Cub we
MUST have at least 2 parent volunteers and 4 player volunteers in each time slot. I have 3 slots open for parents because it is great to have a back up in case a parent is sick or something comes up, which has happened in the past.
ALL PLAYERS WELCOME (Middle School/JV/Varsity)!It would be terrific if some could sign up for two time slots. In the past we have had parents and players stay 4 hours or more just because they are enjoying themselves! It truly is a joyful experience!
Some Guidelines:
- Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes and be wearing a uniform shirt or spirit wear and a smile.
- ONLY THE PLAYERS MAY BAG GROCERIES, parents sit or stand at the table and greet people with a smile and word as they go by.
- No drinks or food may be consumed while bagging or at the donation table, except personal water bottles.
- No cell phones (except quick calls or texts by parents when needed).
- Players may not congregate together.
- One bagger should approach the customer as they begin checkout and politely ask if they would like their groceries bagged… and yes, please ask if they want paper or plastic. Stay focused on the customer and make sure they receive ALL of their items. Bag with heavy items on the bottom, then light items on top. Keep cold/frozen items together and separate cleaning supplies from food. / If the customer says “no” to you bagging, say “okay, thank you” and step away from bagging area.
- It is our responsibility to pick up bags that fall on the floor.
- Carts and black baskets need to be returned to the entry of the store if not used by customer to take groceries to their vehicles.
- You represent Cub, The Blazers and most importantly God, so please smile, greet warmly, and say “thank you” to everyone.
